I am foremost
against any type of amnesty program for
those who are living and working in this
country illegally.
We should not put at the front of the
line those who entered our country
illegally.
I think it sends the wrong message to
those who
have waited patiently for years to enter
the country lawfully.
I am sensitive to
their plight; the vast majority of
illegal immigrants are hardworking
people who are simply trying to make a
better life for themselves and their
families. All that being said, the fact
is they still entered this country
illegally and are working illegally. I
think it insults most Americans when you
say that illegal’s are performing work
that Americans won’t do. We are a
society that must adhere to the rule of
law. Before Congress considers any type
of guest worker program, we must
secure our borders first. This is a
question of national security as well as
national sovereignty.
